Site Map for AL65IN.ORG

 Quote by George Washington, 1789
All times on the AL65IN.ORG website are U.S. Eastern Time, and Richmond, Indiana now observes Daylight Saving Time (EST winter GMT/UTC-5, EDT summer GMT/UTC-4.) The times displayed in the time zone bar at the top of this page (and reproduced below) are based on the clock in your computer. If your computer clock is not set properly, the above times are incorrect. When Daylight Saving Time is in effect, there will be a small "dst" superscript after the times for San Francisco (military time zone U) and Washington DC (military time zone R) assuming that the date on your computer is set correctly (DST is now 2nd Sunday in March until 1st Sunday in November; the time bar script computes this.) The (Master Clock) time displayed in the frame below was synchronized with an atomic clock when this page loaded. It displays the correct current UTC or Greenwich Mean Time and should agree with the time bar GMT/UTC time. Scroll down in the frame for the current date/time in the U.S. time zones.
GMT/UTC
Most persons choose to display the system clock on the Taskbar (right-click the Taskbar, click Properties, Notification Area, and select Clock under System Icons.) If you right-click the system clock most versions of Windows will offer the Adjust Date/Time option where you will normally find an Internet Time tab. Click Change Settings, select Synchronize with an Internet time server (if not already checkmarked,) and click Update now. You may have to try a different time server if you receive an error. It is possible to add more time servers to your Windows PC registry with a file such as TimeServers.reg (right-click and Save, then double-click the file or right-click and select Merge [NB: Windows systems ONLY.])

There are a number of software programs available which can be installed to synchronize your time on request or on a specific schedule. The webmaster particularly likes Atomic Clock Sync from WorldTimeServer.com. This program also displays your current settings, and will help you repair your Windows Time Service should it stop functioning properly. Note that users of older Windows versions (e.g., 95, 98, ME and NT) must select the older version of the utility.
